Question 2004 530i In need of help in Olympia 98433.

This is my first time ever on a forum. I'm in need of serious help. This is the first BMW I've owned, so I'm learning about them as I go. I bought NCS Exspert with the appropriate diagnostic cable. When I installed the software and connected my laptop to my car it said that it couldn't read because the software was out of date. So I updated the software and now the software doesn't have the menus it is supposed to have, plus everything is now in German. I tried to uninstall the software and redownload it to get it back to English but I have had no success. I really don't know what else to do. I'm not to great with computers, I'm more of a mechanical person.
