Default 8BA Power Reduction

Hi guys,

I was reading about coding DME to remove the power reduction from the f20 lci but it wasn't clear enough.

Can you tell me if it works?

My car is a F20 LCI with n20 engine coded to 184hp. The 125 model in Brazil have the same engine with 218hp and there isn't the 8BA coded.

Thanks in advance.

For coding your power reduction out you will have to flash the ECU's but not every car will respond good to it so it is a bit tricky.

I tried it today but no success. nothing changed.

Looking into e-sys logs I saw this:

Code:

What did you try to do? It's not a simply coding to get the power reduction out of the system.

You dont only code the DME, you need to flash it as well. DIdnt i say that in your other thread as well? =)

Use ISTA P thats the easiest way. But there is the slight issue of the hour counter of DME.

10hrs+ operating time for the DME = no coding changes allowed to power class.
