Default Airbag module 0x90 error after coding with NCSExpert

NOTE: Cross posted at bimmerfest

2006 x3 e83

Originally, wanted to get rid of seat occupancy sensor faults (0x70, 0x71), so coded sensor out using NCS Expert. This resulted in a new error, 000090 MRS: Coding incorrect

Since I was using NCS Expert 3.0.8, DATEN 30.03.2005, I thought it might be that I tried to code with old s/w and old daten files (older than the last time car was in dealership). So, I upgraded to NCS Expert 4.0.1, DATEN to 05.10.2009 (50.2), and re-coded to default per VO (expertmode profile). Still have 0x90 error.

I was then thinking I could use WinKFP to re-program the airbag module, but, under updateZUSB, could not find MRSnxx, only: DDE.., DXC.., GD20, GKE.., GM1912, MDS.., MSV.., MV946, VGSG83 (None of which match my airbag module)

Which brings up another issue: In NCS Expert, after choosing ABG, the file list is: MRS4RD.c60, A_MRS4.IPO, MRS4RD.PRG. This confuses me, as INPA lists the hardware as 3424581, which is a MRS5 module, and under INFORMATION lists Nacharbeitsprogrammdatei as MRS5K.IPO, and steuergeratebeschreibungsdatei as MRS5K.PRG (does this mean anything)

NOTE: I don't have "Functional Jobs" in my INPA menu so I can't see list of ZB numbers, but since it's so old I imagine it wouldn't be listed in WinKFP anyway.

What is error 0x90?
What did I do wrong?
How can I fix it?

I know some have used TooL32 to "reset" modules, should I do this or is NCS Expert the best path?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Re-coded ABG module with expertmode profile in NCS Expert. This removed the 0x90 error. Then, just re-coded with manipulation profile to remove seat occupancy sensor.
