Default Change VIN in NBT Evo?

After a failed FDL coding attempt, my Evo is no longer showing a CAFD when reading the ECU from eSys. In addition, when I do 'Read CPS', it's showing that the VIN stored in my Evo is yyyyyyy.

From the research I have done on this issue, I need to write the VIN to the Evo using Advanced FSC -> WriteDataByIdentifierVIN. I am abe to do this and get an OK success response, but the VIN still shows yyyyyy from Read CPS.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

FYI - This is a retrofit in an E60 with a BimmerRetrofit adapter.

The protection of the VIN record was triggered, now it is only possible to upgrade it to a new firmware
