Default E60 EGS update

Hey guys!
First of all, I would like to thank you all, because this forum had helped me a lot!
But now, there is one thing I can't get clear. I tried to update my EGS software, but I couldn't. The last time software was updated was back in 2005. I tried to find new version of the software, but it said, that I have the latest version(seriously? 2005 is the latest version???). So at this point I don't know how to update it. ECU family is GKE194. So maybe some of you could help me...
The car is E60 2004 530d.
Thanks!

If you already updated your EGS from daten v53.3, you are for sure at the latest. Remember, once they ship the car there are not a lot of updates as the years go on, especially for AT firmware.

DMEs typically get the most updates. Is there a particular AT problem you are looking to solve with an EGS update?

Well that's the problem. I couldn't update it. It showed that i have the latest version(2005). Could that be true?
Yeah, I'm trying to solve 2-1 harsh shift problem... :(
I updated(or should I say downdated LOL) SP_DATEN to 50.2. Well, that didn't make any differences.. When i choose "Update Ecu" and choose it's family, it shows that there are more, newer versions for that module. So maybe I could do it manually, in expert mode? Will it work? Many thanks!

Well, I succeeded to update EGS. I did it not by entering ZB number, but simply by choosing ECU familly :) So, the question is answered :) Thank you all :)

I know it has been a while since last post in this thread but it would help me a lot if you could say how did you manage to do it. In short my e53 3.0d is having same downshift problem. I did try using WINKFP as well but my Assembly no 7549954 is not recognised ZB - last time programmed at 0 miles - i.e. original software. I think ECU family is GKE194. Also, I would appropriate if
anyone can advice on how to set interface so it does not fail. REason for stating this is I've tried same think on friends E53 and failed to communicate to ECU. Some threads say you have to undo FAST communication.

Thanks

Since Winkfp claim it cannot communicate to any ecu can somebody advice me on cable used please? I am using Cable which works with INPA and simply is FTDI which present itself as COM1. Now WinKFP shows STD:OBD. Is my cable write then or do I need to get another cable.
