Default E70 DSC VIN-change possible?

Good afternoon all,

I have a faulty DSC in my E70, and I bought a second hand piece with exact the same partnumbers. I have tried to program the new DSC but I am stuck in the process.

First I tried to update firmware with WinKFP --> after 100% it gave an error and status 12 (but still programmable by winkfp).
Secondly I tried with ISTA-P --> program ok, but coding went wrong (sys0005 - ecu description file not found)
Thirdly I tried the same with ISTA-P online (one day subscription), with the same result, so my conclusion of this is that the problem is not a missing file in my standalone version.

I use a clone of the ICOM programmer, and I also tried with a D+K Can cable.

After a lot of research on the Internet I discovered that the problem could be the old VIN-number, which is still in the DSC. In INPA I can see that the UIF is changed to the new VIN (winkfp did this), but in tool32 another VIN is shown. I tried to change the VIN in tool32, with no succes: ECU conditions not correct.

Is it even possible to change the VIN of an E70 DSC? If so, can someone help me out with this?

Thanks in advance and best regards,
Hendrik Zeilstra.

Good afternoon,

I discovered that after WINKFP reaches 100%, the headlights are turned on, causing a power dip, causing the programming to fail. I now programmed the DSC also with WINKFP including the VIN, but in tool32 still another VIN is shown.

I tried to standard code the DSC with NCSEXPERT, but it thrown an error: Ecu conditions not correct.

Also the error of tool32 is shown when I try to change the VIN number.

I still think that this has to do something with the incorrect VIN-number, making the coding going bad...

Thanks for your answers,
best regards Hendrik.
