Default E90 different VIN

Hello everyone, I am new to this forum.
Recently bought e90 330d on the cheap side with the three yellow lights on: ABS/DSC/handbrake...
So first thing I hooked to a regular diagnostics which showed a very large list of errors. One of which was DSC calibration needed.
I got a KDCAN cable and decided to try with ISTA-D, when I hook it up and press vehicle identification it shows a different VIN from my car. It recognises the vehicle as E60 330D... When I enter the correct VIN it says that a different car is connected, please reconnect. Vehicle history is checked and not reported stolen, only as salvage vehicle.
My question is: is it possible that any module on the car has been changed and not coded, that's why its recognised as a different car..?
Can someone lead me what should I do next, maybe try ISTA-P (Iv heard is not very safe to use with KDCAN)
I am willing to try with Winkfp or NCSexpert instead if someone could throw a lead I could follow.
Thank you in advance!
