Default Hybrid TV Update

Hi Guys

I have swapped my 760i 2004 analogue TV module for a Hybrid from a 2005 car, the tv functions work ok although signal is not great. But my problem is whenever I connect ISTA/P it tells me to replace the VM module and will not allow me to progress in the program until I connect the old unit.

Is there any way to update the vehicle to accept the new unit and allow me to use ISTA/P without plugging in the old unit?

with the newer unit plugged in ISTA reports

Part number of basic control unit 9144020
part number of programmed control unit (actual) 9144020
part number of programmed control unit (specified) 9131962

When I reconnect 9131962 then ISTA will allow me to continue.

Any guidance on why this is occurring would be greatly appreciated.

Graham
