Default Issue adding GR2 to E36/8-Z3 VO for use with MFL steering wheel buttons

I have installed a GR2 cruise control box in my 1998 Z3 (MS41.0, M52B28)) in which I have installed the MFL buttons on my M Steering wheel. I already had CC but that was the OLD type with a stalk in the steering column. So, the only thing I needed to do was re-arrange the wiring and add one additional line from the actuator to the CC module.
I would like to add the GR2 module to the VO such that I can programme it. It is from a 4 cylinder E46 and the actuation is somewhat rough.
I know that in NCS, I could programme the module to match my engine.

Unfortunately, I fail to add the module to my car's VO and thus, I cannot programme it. I do not get the S540 option to appear when trying to add the A8 CC module.

Does anybody know; How can I add the GR2 module to my car such that I can code it?

note: the module works with the MFL buttons and I can also read the module in INPA! I have even removed the steering column stalk in the meantime.

searched but found no answer :-(

Thanks, but it won't let me do that. I can type something but it won't save after "enter VA"
