Default ISTA/P programming with K+DCAN(USB-OBD2)

Can anyone confirm that ISTA/P can work with K+DCAN(USB-OBD2) cable?
I need to reprogram my EGS module.

But i have two different cables and with one i'm able to run "call ECU functions" not for every ECU (f.e. DDE), but with second one i have this button on ISTA disabled (grey). So in my opinion if you have two K+D-CAN cables(SB-OBD) doesn't mean that you have. 2 that same interfaces. Difference between this two which I have is that one have switch between <2007 and newer.p Second one is working only with older cars (not always year of production is important, but if this has communication over Ethernet or not yet)

I need to flash e70 EGS module, Winkfp gave error

Error_Signature_check_failed

is it safe to try with istaP with icom emulator + k+dcan cable

I don't know. Theoretically you may program every ECU but I will not give you 100% that it will finish with success.

Did you check if it is not problem with winkfp? I think Ista need more power than winkfp so you need better external power source than with kfp. I don't have idea how long this update take. With Ista and also with WinKFP you can kill your ecu so... Your decision. Do you have to do it, or it is only wish to have latest version? If something goes wrong maybe NFS Emergency Flash will help. Try to find someone who lives close to you and have ICOM. I have possibility to update DDE in my e46 330d from 7793191 to 7793920 so I think (maybe wrong) that is big difference. If I will do it I'm almost sure that I will chose WINKFP.

Of course it better to buy icom but if someone is interested in coding with K+D-CAN i suggest to do it with WinKFP. Yesterday I try to flash my DDE and ista fails 3 times. First try using WinKFP was finished successfully.
