Default Newbie needs some hints...

hey gents,

well - I'm new to BMW and to this forum. I bought a 2006 E91 320d wit AT on saturday and as I'm an electronic engineer I want to know whats possible with my new car ;)

I've played around in the past a litle bit on my former Opel/Vauxhal Insignia from 2009 (CAN bus) and I have an AGV4000exp interface.... but as I see it now this interface is not compatible with the BMW stuff - is it?

Well now back to my question: Can somebody give me a good hint what software package i need for coding (TV option and stuff liek that) and - thats the main question - what kind of interface do I need? Whats a good and cheap one? I prefer USB (bluetooth or WiFi is not so important but nice ;))

So what to buy or build?

regardz from germany
