Default Rheingold 3.41 - EGR Adjustment

Hi,
comparing new Rheingold with DIS, I was working on a car in order to reduce exhaust gases coming from EGR to engine, this function is completely new :

This function allows to adjust rate of exhaust gases - to get more fresh air for engine = decrease carbon inside of lines.
Attached are pictures with value field and a page after searching information, I didnt find more. I have been trying to change the values, possible was from 0,1 till 0,7 no more. Always showing (-) minus ? ........ dunno
As far as I tried to change and give it a test drive at 0,4 and at 0,7 no significant improvement, just may be at 0,4 engine running smoother and stronger. The reason here is preventive, to decrease gases and avoid future carbon clogging.
I have observed that together with this are changed also values at VTG, injection, consumption values ... perhaps this means multiplicative as described. Something like hashfunction. Who knows more ?

Hi,

I've found this interesting service function as well. But in my rheingold, 3.42 i believe it is, it's just a bit different. The min. value is -40 mg/str and max. is +40 mg/str. (+ is extra fresh air)
When using the +40 value, it SEEMS like the overall EGR opening is about 5% less.

Would be nice if someone can confirm.

I got some question about BMW software..please help me out..
currently I m using ista/p 51.2 expert mode
I try on some car and I found out that I cant choose single programming for F series,
even E60 I cant just do single programming and coding on SZL module..
Is there a expert and engineer system out there? I heard engineer can do single ecu programming is that true or both is the same?
oh for Rheingold can it do single programming on f series?

Default Where is EGR adjustment in ISTA+?

I'd like to know myself, I am about to do this +40 on my E60, however so far I can't find it in ISTA+...there is no EGR or Gas Recirculation in Engine's Service Functions. Does anyone have issues with passing mot? Isn't some sooth getting burned down in engine, helping dpf to stay clean? Just a thought...
