Default sat nav issues

Hi all,

We have a 2009 Mini Cooper s cab that has been fire damaged, and in the process of repair we have changed the complete wiring loom and added satnav.
The problem I am having is getting it to work correctly.
The navigation icon is showing on the screen, but nothing happens when selected.
If I restart the mmi/ccc or let the car go to sleep first, I can select the nav on screen and the maps will load for about 30 seconds and then go off again. I am then back to being unable to select nav.
I am guessing that something somewhere is not coded correctly.
Has anyone any ideas.
I am using AVDI BMW commander to do coding. But do have winkfp etc. (my icom has gone for repair)

the complete wiring loom, screen, satnav unit, idrive, frm, and jbe are from one car
the ecu/dme, cas, key, cluster are from another
the rest off the units are from the original.

Thanks in advance guys for any help or advice.
