Default Serial Port Cable for interface EASYDIS INPA/EDIABAS

Hi All; I've fussed with the cheapo USB-OBD cable and got frustrated with the poor quality and loss of communication (IFH-003). I purchased a (straight?) serial-obd interface cable. I've attached a photo, it appears to have a chipset in it. Can someone tell me how to properly set up this particular cable to work with INPA & EDIABAS, please ? I'm betting that once it works with INPA it will work with everything else-NCS Expert, EasyDIS, etc. Thanks
