Red face Should I ???

Hi All,

I am in the process of learning the art of coding and see there are a number of options to chose.

I have a 2007 E90 323i MSport (June Build) with CA.

I see that I can use softare like: EDIABAS/INPA/NCECPER with a suitable Cable.

But I also see that there is Hardware like ICOM with SISI ISID.

Given these options, and I don't mind handing out the cash, but, do I go with ICOM or stick with the other mentioned products??

Fritzables.

It depend what you're going to be doing but you can accomplish a lot with INPA, NCSEXPERT, ETC.

G'Day TRIPPLE_O,

Over the past month I have had my iDrive Controller fail.

To rectify this issue I need to take into my Dealer for them to fit and then code.

The coding side of it has me worried. They believe that when they code it, they need to re-code the whole car - which I am having trouble accepting. I have a re-mapped MSV80 and don't want to loose it by this iDrive replacement.

In the future I would like to have the ability to re-code ECUs and thought ICOM whould be the best choice.

Your thoughts.....

Pete

PS: Merry Xmas.

Thank you! Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year!!

For reprogramming, an ICOM is the best choice. If you are simply coding changes to your vehicle then the INPA, NCS package will be just fine.

Did you do the remap yourself?
