Default X5 E53 ABS/DSC Pump Bleeding Help

So I've got air in my system after replacing the brake booster.

I tried it the "normal" way (pressing the pedal like 5 times, holding it down, opening the bleed screw, let the air bubbles out, close bleed screw - repeat until no bubbles come out) but obviously this can't get air in the abs/dsc system and I can't seem to get it to bleed out. The pedal is still soft after bleeding each corner 4 times and there are no visible bubbles anymore, just clean fluid.

Unfortunately my copy of INPA (v5.0) didn't originally have E53 - it was missing from the menu. So I edited INPA.ini and now I can see E53 in the INPA menu. When I press F3 for E53, I can communicate with the DME/Read fault codes etc but when I go to "Chassis" and cycle through all the available DSC options, none of them work. I have read that at least one of the ones in there should work!

Is there any way I can do this without the correct software? Perhaps a reasonably priced scan tool.

Alternatively, can someone link me to an older version of INPA that they know works with E53 properly?

I also have ISTA-P but that doesn't seem to communicate with my E53 at all! But it does work with my E82.

Any help appreciated... sucks being stuck at the very last step.

I now have my software working. It turns out my cable requires Pins 7+8 soldered together - once I did that, INPA can read the DSC ECU (amongst others)!

I can even use ISTA-D with my E53 now.

The downside is - the cable probably won't work for any newer BMWs. That's fine, I'll order another.

Hi, some cables have switch for pins 7 and 8. I am using this adapter:

I know dis57 bleeds the abs pump if you have it
