Default 2004 BMW X5 3.0L starts and then shuts off.

Sorry if mentioned. First post. Just bought a 04 X5 3.0L. After a week the car just shuts off when started. The vehicle turns over (Spark and fuel is good). Just the rpm is below 1 and moves up and down. Then shuts off. Replaced the DISA O ring. Do not see any vacuum leaks. Are there any other diagnosis I should follow through next? Thanks.

Also battery was dead and we replaced a new battery. That's when the problem happened.
