Default 328i diagnostic issue

My BMW 3 series was taken in a month ago for a battery cable recall. When I picked it up at the dealership (car already running for me) the brake light and traction control lights were on. My husband said that they may go off after I drive it for a bit so I ignored it. Later that day I got in my car to go somewhere and when I turned the car on the windshield wipers came on and wouldn't turn off until I put the car in gear. Not having time to go to the dealership for a few weeks I drove it this way. Each time I turn on the car the same lights come on and the windshield wipers go crazy until I put it in gear. Only on a few occasions have neither events happened. Dealerships says it's not their fault (even though this never happened prior to them changing the battery cable) and they act like they don't know what they're talking about (trying to charge us $4500). Any ideas as to what the problem is?

The dealer should fix this problem. Possible do a calibration.

Get one BMW ICOM, connect it with your car, try to read out fault codes, sometimes it can read out fault code, sometimes not, just do it, any fault codes, please report here.
