Default Learning ISTA/D

Learning ISTA/D
So, I've been playing around with ISTA/D quite a bit and it has been very useful diagnosing my car.

However, some of the things I used to to in DIS, I can't quite figure out where they are in ISTA/D.

For example, when replacing a throttle actuator, the REP document for the actuator tells you to run the initialization procedure in DIS when complete. It tells you how to get there in DIS, but that does not apply in ISTA.

How do you run those tests which aren't in the same place as DIS?

Also, if I recall correctly, in DIS I could manually enter a fault code and it would calculate a test plan including that code along with those read from the car. It seems this is not the case with ISTA. I know the fault code that will get me where I want to go, but entering it manually in ISTA seems pointless...I can't do anything with it after the search.
