Default Problem with D-BUS on E53 X5

Hi all,

I am struggling to connect to any of the modules on my E53 X5 using INPA. Whenever I go to read the fault codes on the DME for example it comes back with an IFH0003 connection failed error.

The car only has the 16 pin OBD-2 connector under the dash. The white/violet TXDII D-BUS pin has around 5.5 V which I understand should be sufficient to support fault free communication but I'm not getting anything.

I should mention that there is nothing wrong with my cable/INPA setup as I have tested it on two other cars, my other X5 and my E39, with no issues.

The car drives fine and other than this I'm not having any other issues with CANBUS connection between modules.

This one has me stumped. Would really appreciate your ideas.
