Default Repairing instrument cluster

Does anyone have experience with this? Mine failed completely until I cleaned the connectors. That brought it to life. Now it just isn't consistent with it's readings. I 'm thinking it might simply have some weak capacitors. Can anyone shed more light on this for me?
