Default Scanning and diagnostics otpions to choose...

My 2001 740iL rattles at around 1,300 to 1,800 RPM.
I'm considering aquiring a diagnostics tool to fine tune it. Should I go with the Bavarian Technic basic option cable (1 car only) for $180, or the BMW ICOM A2+B+C Set for $340? Or any other option that is good enough for less than $400.
Thanks!
