Hi,

I have been using NCS Expert in the past with no problems with Win 7 in XP compatibility mode. I have now installed Win 10 (big mistake...!) just tried running NCS again, also in XP 2 and 3 compatibility mode but still errors whenever it tries to read the data from EDIABAS data server, it comes up with Initiating errors, and Sys key errors.
Anyone else tried NCS with Win 10 either in compatibility mode or not. Also have changed EDIABAS to compatibility mode as well with same result.

Any thoughts welcome.

Cheers

Just an fyi...I got this (INPA) working with Windows 10 64 bit. Still have to run in XP 3 mode and move folder around but I was able to get both black dots and clear my errors I needed to clear. Thanks to OP!

Hello All...

I really could use some help with getting into my ECU so I can either 'viginize' it, or Just change the VIN in the least.

the problem mostly is my project is 2015 BMW S1000RR K46 S-Series Motorrad

So, I downloaded about every INPA I can find, spent money with MHH to get full versions they say, PM'ed people that say stop, you cant do it to Motorrad..

So I try here for the answer.

I have several versions of INPA and I see alot of E and F series cars listed. I found the INPA.ini that sets up the GUI with the text for all that. I can change it, but dont know what to point a new entry to.

The K46 from what I have researched is using K24 files. Then there is K01 also, but not sure what that is to.

I need that UIF from what I have read from INPA to get into WinKFP to access the ECU for the VIN change.

The ECU is Motronic with the Infintion MPU 1797. the files in ISTA/P it looks at is BMSX type files.

What started all this was I purchased a ECU, Switch, Key, and EWS module. Well, the key was broken in the crash and it would not read with ISTA/P it was so damaged. BMW dealer would not cut me a key off the VIN because I dont have a title in my name to just parts I purchased off eBay.

So, next I purchased another ECU, Switch, Key and EWS module. What I forgot with this one was that the ECU does not match my configuration of my S1000RR. I need to change the VIN in this new ECU so I can download the correct setup from ISTA/P .. I have already tried replace and code DME so maybe the one I put on there when it asked would just replace the VIN and parameters, but that did not work.

So, can someone help me get into this ECU to change the VIN?
