Hi guys! New here as well and new with BMW's.

I have an e90 325 2005 model and i would like to have a little look with Inpa.

I had one old vag com cable (805) i used at my skoda octavia and i thought i give a try with it but no luck at all.

I have downloaded Inpa from the link above and then i followed the instructions to make the installation. I can enter the Inpa program but i am getting an error that says:

ApiResultText: Error#28
IFH-0018: INITIALIZATION ERROR.

It seems that the laptop i am using with Windows 7 64bit doesn't allow me to see the vagcom on device manager so i can make the step to make the Com port. But i can see it on taskbar when i open the connected USB devices.

Any help maybe? Is it the cable? The laptop? Is there any way to make this work or should i buy a new cable from ebay?

Thanks in advance for any possible help :)

Vassilis

Billy you need to make sure you have the drivers installed for your cable and set it in your device manager as COM1. If you dont figure it out let me know and Ill try to locate the link I used to set it up.

Hi, i have all modules in English for the E39 525tds but the engine module is in German, i did some research and file deep inspection, and i found that my dde22.ipo file is in German.

Anyone knows or has where is an English file? I'm currently searching in all my data to see if i can find the proper English file.
