Hello CristyP

Here is a copy my Ediabas 6.4.7 Below at the very bottom OF THE PAGE
================================================== ===========================
Note For DIS V57:
Go into C:\Ediabas\Bin and creat a short cut of IFHsrv32.exe to your desktop and run it first before you start Dis V57
Then Run Diaghead Emulator, then click run, Then it will pickup the Vmware network ip address as 192.168.68.1.
Then Run DISV57 then you are Good for DIAGNOSIS.

Your DCHP must be enabled in the windows "network connections" right click the wireless or lan icon in the tray bar at bottom right of windows task bar , click on "open network connections" click open "vmware network adapter"

Click on Properties bottom left of this window
If you look carefully you'll see that my Vmware is only sending and not receiving. click on properties, then a box with Vmware network adapter vmnet1 appears, click open TCP/IP or high light it then click on the properties button.

Click open properties then it will show you the IP address and subnet mask, just cancel that box(close) then it will bring you to the internet protocol (TCP/IP) Properties window ,

just select obtain an IP address automatically, doing this will enable the DHCP client to obtain the vmware ip and subnet mask address automatically distrubuted by the vmware dhcp host.

Now click on the Advanced tab
and you will see that the DHCP is Enabled.
That is how it have to be so the Vmware Network Adapter Vmnet1 status can start Sent & Receive packets.
