Default E87, N47 engine. HELP sofware Inpa, NCS !

Hello,

I have a BMW 120d (E87), 2008, N47 engine (177 hp).

I am looking for a version of EDIABAS, INPA, NCS EXPERT able to diagnose and encode my vehicle.

I tried several versions of Inpa and my vehicle is not listed.
Can you give me a link to download the software for my car (E87, N47 engine, 177 hp)?

Thank you in advance!

Jerome

i've tried that on my LCI, it doesn't work. You need ICOM or ICOM Emulator

E87 (same as E90) belongs to chassis family: E89
BMW Tools (INPA, etc.) work for that.

Did you modify your INPA.ini to actually give you access to E87 modules?

Code:
F17                   = E87
F17_Text              = E87     (E81, E82, E88) / 1er /L2
F17_ARCHIV            = SGBD_E87
You might need to change the F Key number (F17 above is "Shift+F7") to something that suits you.

Also you need to check if the file "E87.ger" (or "E87.eng" if you use the english version) has the entry for N47 Motor.

My E87.ger file has following entries for the Motor section:

Code:
[ROOT_MOTOR]
DESCRIPTION=Motor
ENTRY= AUTMOT1,Autom. Motorauswahl,
ENTRY=,,
ENTRY=  D50M47,DDE 5.0  für M47 TÜ,
ENTRY= DDE6M47,DDE 6.0  für M47 TÜ2,
ENTRY= DDE7N47,DDE 7.0  für N47,
ENTRY=,,
ENTRY=ME9NG4TU,ME9.2 / MEV9 für N45 / N46,
ENTRY=  ME17R4,ME17.2.1 / MEV17.2.1 für N45TÜ/N46TÜ2,
ENTRY=   MSV70,MSV 70.0 für N52 (NG6),
ENTRY=   MSV80,MSV 80.0 für N51 & N52KP (NG6),
ENTRY=   MSD80,MSD 80.0 für N43 N53 & N54 mit EWS4/CAS,
ENTRY=MSD80N43,MSD 80.2 für N43 mit EWS4/CAS,
ENTRY=,,
ENTRY=  AUTEKP,Elektrische Kraftstoffpumpe        EKP,
As you can see N47 is included. Check the files in INPA/CFGDAT directory.

My INPA installation originally didn't have entries for my N55 Motor or DKG, so I added it to the INPA configuration to be able to access them.

I have a E90 LCI, and belive me, I did everything right, but it won't work (my 2009). The T_GRTB.PRG file is too old for this engine (N47, at least my 2009)

.PRG files are part of EDIABAS and can be updated. Did you try to update to a newer DATEN version?

I'd suggest to read up some on how to update your installation correctly.

I did upgrade ediabas, ncs expert to newest daten. But you are right, T_GRTB.PRG wasn't the cause, it's the INPA files that are too old to work with newest files in EDIABAS

I got as far as getting this error after updating ediabas files:

http://s16.postimage.org/uq9o1rvy9/e...che=1353790500

NCS Expert works perfectly, because it can be updated, unlike INPA

If you have a solution to make INPA work with N47 engine, hats off to you

What EDIABIAS version are you using? For newer cars you need 7.2.

My car is built 2011 with N55 which was first introduced in 2010 only.
If I can use INPA then you should be able to also with 2009 motor.

I am using older ediabas (6.4.7)

I will try again using 7.2
