Default E90 DME Update Issues - No valid ZUSB number?

Stumped.

E90 328xi I bought has a very strange ZUSB number that isn't in any of the daten files: 7573452. The DME is an MSV80, however there is no valid zusb I can use to update this thing. Current software date is from 2006.

I did some research, and I found that part number here: [Only for registered users... ]

So it's a remanufactured one, however it's not anywhere in the assembly line data, and that part number doesn't come up at all anywhere in WinKFP.

So I went to try to get a valid zusb number by entering my VIN to see what is should have been from the factory: [Only for registered users... ]. So, there's a list of remanufactured ones, and one normal one. However, I tried entering these numbers in there too, and none show up.

Not sure where to go from here. Comfort mode selecting MSV80 just pulls the existing zusb then faults because it's not in the assy line info. I figured if I can find a compatible zusb for this unit, I could update it with something along that line. However, nothing. Ideas??

I want to get the DME updated, but without a path from current software to newer software, then start coding in some changes. it's not possible so far, as there's nothing I can do yet.

I had an idea, just not sure how this one's gonna work..

The DME in my car is the one in the link in the OP. A few of the ZUSB's in the daten files for MSV80 are in this list, which corresponds to what was installed in other cars: [Only for registered users... ]

So how likely, if anyone knows, would the address space and internal hardware in these units, so that I could flash an update that matches one of the other ZUSB's onto mine? I can almost guess the answer, but..

Yep, I found that when searching the MSV80.HIS file. I traced that along and came up with the same result.

The only problem, is when I connect WinKFP and attempt it, here's what I get:

Comfort Mode
F3 Update Zusb
Select MSV80
Enter VIN
Done
Click Prog ZUSB
Error, zusb not in assembly line data.

So, try to select it manually...
Choose ZUSB
select MSV80
Look for 7587250 in the list, not there.

Go back, Enter ZUSB 7587250
Error, zusb not in assembly line data.

Went and re-imported all the PABD, SGBD and the assembly data. Using 53.3 E89 daten files.

Same result. Other modules all updated fine, except the transmission, which is a GS1912. I get the same thing trying to do that one. Every other one had a valid upgrade path using the zusb from the ECU read in INPA.
