Default NCS Expert Error

hello guys, so i installed the INPA suit and it works. only the engine module though. but i tried NCSexpert and after choosing the chassis the next step says ECU not responding and none of the options work, they say the same thing.

Maybe you are connected with inpa.
Close inpa and try again.

Your inpa Version shows ignition and battery black dot?!
Regards

I think it's an hardware fault.
Or you choose an ecu that's not present on your vehicle.

In first post u say it's ifh-0009. not faulty vin.

Clear all fsw_psw files in work dir.
Faulty vin is very often when u don't clear your files.
It have to be empty when you start a new session.

Good day!

I had the same issue and the only thing I did that fixed it was soldered pin 7 and 8 together... I could read the engine ECU and the Trans ECU, but everything else wouldn't talk to my computer...

Good luck!!

Cheers!!

i bought another cable and according to the seller the cable has both pins soldered. still getting errors, with INPA only can read engine but not other modules and NCSexpert nothing, there is two errors VIN is faulty and ecu not responding. im going to try BMW Scanner, if that doesnt work im giving up. i might try different computer with xp originally installed. right now i been using virtual xp within a mac.
