Default Retrofit BMW Apps 6NR

Hi all, I hope I have the right section for this post. I am trying to figure out how to retrofit BMW Apps (S6NRA) in my 2011 (12/2010 build) E93 but apparently no one is talking. :(

Therefore I have been working to figure this out. I was supposed to read a friend's car this week which has 6NR from the factory but I'm not sure if that's going to happen. :(

In the meantime I have been digging through the daten files and every website I can find. The daten files were quite interesting. Starting with version 39, BMW Apps 6NR has shown up in the E89AT.000 file. Digging a bit deeper I found another reference to 6NR in the E89AEDOC.000 file. It seems to indicate that versions "C14" of "CIC" & "CICM" contain "New CI, control of SA 6NR extended".

Since I have CIC.C13 & CICM.C13 it looks like I need an upgrade before I can get apps working. Although after than it seems like adding it to the VO will take care of it, but I'm not sure. This is all just my thoughts / guesses but I think I'll be able to confirm it if/when I get to read my friend's car.

I'm posting this all so that we can work together for a solution or DIY to get this retrofit. Hope this helps and stirs some thoughts. :)

Also, if anyone has a VO from a 2011 with BMW Apps, please post it. It would be really nice to confirm the module versions too.

Thanks

I too am researching this same issue with my '11 535i. These features were suppose to be in the car after 9/10 production date. It seems criminal that BMW promotes apple products, they show a video bragging about BMW Office with An IPhone and yet blackberry is the only phone that works with BMW office.

If you have all the hardware then you just need to make sure your CIC software is at least version C16 (CIC.C16) or better. At that point you can code in BMW Apps like any other feature. The hard part is the hardware and software.

did anyone manage to update his CIC, i have an October 2010 production and previously a feb 2010 production and i noticed that the CIC is a bit different and now i have the Office option in the menu so i am guessing that enabling the 6nr feature is just a matter or reprograming it

I am looking to install this on my 2013 x3. I have all the equipment but this cable 61 12 2 295 390. My car didnt come with the apps package. No dealer has the part in stock on the US. But I found a company to sell them for 80 bucks.
Now I need to program it after. I am new to programming and just got the software. I would appreciate any input. I'll post my progress and make a DIY if I can figure it all out.

Hi Friends,
For 6NR + 6NF Retrofit, the following options are needed on your car :-

1) 609 - Navigation System Professional ( 10.2" Screen )
2) 6VC - Control Combox ( > Sept 2010 production cars should have this )
3) 6FL - USB Interface

If anyone of these 3 options are missing still it is possible to do.

Hi, the next problem is importing the FSC.
I'm actual at this point and my dealer is not able to import/activate the code.
Now I need a solution to install/upload the FSC by myselve.
Does somebody know how to do this?

Today I also heard that it's possible to activate Apps without any FSC or Can-Filter.
I think it's a modification of the CIC Software...
