Default BMW Rheingold. Connecting older models problem

Hello,

i do have ICOM clone, with ista Rheingold.
I can connect to E60, E65, E90, but when i try to connect to E46 or E38 I always get "The vehicle could not be identified" error.
Any ideas?

So i changed my ISTA D/P settings to use D-CAN cable... and i again can connect to e65 without any problem, but still can't connect to my e46. So i believe it's a software error.
Any Ideas?

The e46 needs the 20-pin connector to have pin 7 & 8 to be soldered together
