Hello,

I have the same problem with my A2 clone on E36, E46, E39. With my A1 no problem on any car.

Have you found a solution for this?

I find a solution, just like with K+DCAN connect pin 7&8 with a switch that you can shut off when connecting to newer cars ;-)

Even with the K+Dcan it won't connect, once i did this trick it connected well, with Ista and INPA ;-)

Connect pin 7&8 on a Icom a2? I know this from Dcan interface. This will work on icom also?

your ICOM is faulty or of bad quality. ICOM A2 should handle ALL BMWs!
