Default EWS problem

I did something really stupid with my scanner. I was trying to get rid of the milage tamper dot and was sucessful... now the dot is gone and the milage is good.... however hand became gatal and accidently changed the setting from "as EWS2" to "EWS3" .... now a cannot change it back.

I have this error now on DME that no Data from EWS....

Best part is now car cannot start...... this is by far the dumbest thing I have done.
How do i change that algorithm EWS3 back to as EWS2

Hi what tool were you using, and how did you get to that screen? You might have to scan this with DIS V57 and then see what that says, it also helps you troubleshoot the issue too.

You will have to specify where and how you changed these settings? You will need to do a an activate and then basically do a handshake with both modules. Yiou could this in INPA, go to engine (F3), and then select your engine type (DME ..MXXXXX or NXXXX)

Once you have the module selected, hit activate which is F5 or F6. and there you should see EWS, and hit that.

Let me know how you get on

I'll be giving this whole thing a whirl on my 95 [Only for registered users... ] Convertible tomorrow. I think I've narrowed my problems down to this EWS nonsense. Great tutorial, froggy. Thanks anyway!
