Default Using e-sys with K1600GT(K001).

Hi, i`m curious that somebody use e-sys with new models of motorbikes like k1600gt diagnosis by can. In past i code with succes any old k-line model motorbikes like R1200GS(K24).

On this new model i connecting with success using rheingold or tool32(use prg files: x_k001, x_abs... etc.), but after two weeks of trying i still cant make connection with e-sys to make coding.

If somebody have experience with these new bikes coding using e-sys please share, or if need i of course pay for good solution.

Thank you!

I have similar issue:

I have K024 SPDaten files on NCSexpert.
Tried coding R 1200 RT 2008 (K26) - worked fine.
Then tried K 1600 GTL 2013 (K48) - on this one did not work. ISTA-D diagnosis works fine for both K26 and K48. Anyway for K48 ISTA-P says that it is not supported.

What I need to do on K48 is to change KOMBI information display from miles to km - range, consumption so on.. It is easy to do over NCSexpert coding Kombi, but I cant get it working. Which SPDaten files do I need to support K48 model? Or this K48 model is even supported for NCSexpert coding? Maybe I need E-Sys?

You can use ISTA+(ISTA-D) to program/encode your K1600.

Thank you for answer.
Is programming over ISTA-D similar to NCSexpert? I mean can I see and change all options on certain ECU? Or only have "Retrofit" plans like in ISTA-P?

Can I still use NCSexpert to code this bike? Or E-Sys is required?

I've never used NCSexpert but you can change options for settings, i.e. MPH to KPH, with ISTA+.

You can also retrofit items like LED lights etc.

Are the any instruction how to code using ISTA+?
I have never done that. Basically up to now I have only worked on E series cars, so I used ISTA+ for diagnosis, ISTA-P for programming and NCSExpert for coding.

It's really basic and you just go into Vehicle Management and the options are pretty obvious.
