Hi all,
My wife adn I purchased a 2009 e60, 535i and have been very happy with it with the exception of crazy maintenance requirements. I'm an old gear head and can do most mechanical stuff, but the BMW is pushing my limits. I had a fuel pump problem in Portland and the car shut down on the highway. I am now looking to install a new EKPM3 module adn need to program/code it to my car. I'm looking online at lots of stuff packages of software and a cable. ANy ideas on what's best to get?
Chris

Hi Chrisct01,

I might be wrong, but when you replace fuel filter you dont need to program anything or code anything. If you want to get the software, ebay is best place to get . Just search for Inpa ediabas with the USB cable ( cable should have a switch). It is a package of several softwares. They get installed all together. You will need to do research on coding/programming manuals. Some of these software products are in German.

Did you get the car going with a fuel pump change?

Did you replace the EKP?

I'm in the same place. I replaced the LPFP (low pressure fuel pump) and I am now trying to replace the EKP, but having issues with coding. Just would like to know what you ended up doing.

Thanks,
D.

I expect a fuel pump change would fix the problem.
