Default Hello from Germany

Hi guys,

my name is Heinrich, I'm 31 and coming from Germany. My job is software development engineer, in Java, Oracle (SQL and PL/SQL) and model based development.

I have owned my 850Ci for 6 years now.

My hobbies are micro controller programming, bus systems (CAN, LIN, ...), my BMW E31, ..

At the moment I'm trying to run E65 navigation system outside of the car, and, it's running.

So, I have small CAN bus with iDrive controller, control display and ZGM (ZGM is just for diagnostics) at the moment. Ignition signal is emulated by PC. In the next days I will receive the CAS module.

On the MOST side I have just control display and ASK connected, but I've got Navi02, TV module, TCU and so one, it's not connected at the moment.

The idea is to run navigation system like in the car, so to be able to set travel computer data, like consumption, temperature and so one. A bit crazy, I know. But, why not.

At the moment I have got some problems with the installation of NCS.
