Default Hello from Thailand

Dear Members;

I brought my old 1996 318is to Thailand from Hawaii. It has been a very good car with few problems. However, this past Monday it refused to start. I had driven the car just the day before with no problems. The new battery was completely dead, so I recnarged it. Still, the car would not start. When I rotate the ignition switch to "ON", all of the indicator lights come on normally and all of the accessories can be used. However, when the ignition switch is rotated to "START"(CRANK), there is no noise at all. Next, I used a jumper wire to test the starting motor operation; The starting motor and solenoid function normally. Next, I attempted to remove and test the Neutal Safety Switch, but I was unable to remove the switch. I suspect that the problem is with one of the following components: 1. Ignition Switch 2. Neutral Safety Switch 3. Immobiliser Module

I have reached the limit of my diagnostic ability with no literature or diagnostic equipment available to me. Furthermore, the nearest BMW Dealer is 300 kilometers away. Is there anyone out there that van help me solve this problem??
