Default Looking for everything DIY!

Hey everyone! I am new to bmwcoders but love what I have seen so far! I am looking for info on DIY programming such as car/key memory options, activate newly installed oem alarm, and reading and clearing codes.

I have a 1999 BMW 328i Sedan complete with the Sports package and the Premium Package. Unfortunately my car is too old to have some nice features like mirror memory and passenger mirror reverse tilt, but I would still like to customize a few things without going to the dealer.

Also, I only have one worn key and would like to get a complete new set, 2 master keys, 1 emergency key, and a valet key. I have done some research and know that new keys SHOULD come from BMW and only 10 total were made per car; But I have also turned up some research on reprogramming keys with EWS reader/writers and would love to learn more about using new blanks with re-used transponders and reprogramming them with EWS equipment.

Anyway, great site, hope I can learn lots here, and if anyone has any pointers, please feel free to share!

Thanks!
