Default New Bimmer - new time killer

Hi there,
after 6 years Volvo driving (very satisfied!) I now have my first BMW:
E39 525d Touring 3/2001
- much Power (for me :)
- many silly gadgets (s.a. :)
- some faults :(

One of them is the lack of any sign or word or "Gong" from the "Check Control"; the display is working with BC and radio, but dark with the cars "Dr. Watson".

I got my OBD interface yesterday, have been in lots of ECUs via INPA, especially in the LCM, which - as far as I know - means "Light- and Check-Module", but found now trace of my missing Check Control...

Anyway, that's why I'm here :)

Stefan
